Anti Ragging Cell

Introduction:

With a mission to stop ragging like menace entering into the smooth and peaceful academic environment of the College, the Governing Body of Egra S. S. B. College has constituted a powerful Anti-Ragging Cell in the College, vide its decision taken in the meeting dated 29/09/2021. The Anti-Ragging Cell of the College is the supervisory and advisory committee to assure a culture of ragging free campus in the College. The Cell functions with its set objectives to monitor with a strong vigil over the College campus as well as its hostels with a view that raging can by no means hamper the overall academic atmosphere of the College.

Objectives behind Formation of the Cell:

  1. To circulate the message – ‘Ragging is a Social Crime’ within the campus.
  2. To prevent and protect the student community from being ragged or indulging in the act of ragging.
  3. To make the student community aware of the ill effects of ragging and its impact upon social and academic life.
  4. To record complaints and resolve those through the ARC of the College.
  5. To take legal actions timely as and when required on the basis of the intensity of raging instances.
  6. To take requisite actions against the alleged if found guilty through the Head of the Institution.
