Biography

Srikrishna Paul is a State Aided College Teacher-II in the Department of Geography at Egra SSB College, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. Since his appointment in December 2008, he has devoted nearly two decades to undergraduate education, curriculum development, and spatial research. With an M.A. in Geography, his primary focus is Urban Geography, while he also maintains active interests in Economic and Settlement Geography. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he serves as an examiner for B.A. and B.Sc. honours and general examinations, thereby upholding academic standards. Paul's research has explored infrastructure development, demographic changes, and regional connectivity in West Bengal. His published works include studies on road transport networks in Purba Medinipur, urban land use changes in South Bengal, and the socioeconomic impacts of development on tribal communities in Paschim Medinipur. As a frequent presenter at national and international conferences, he actively participates in scholarly discussions on environmental challenges, tribal development, and sustainable regional planning.
