Dr. Aloy Chand Biswas with a huge expertise and experience in teaching English Language and Literature has spent almost 21 years till date as a faculty in the Dept. of English of Egra Sarada Shashi Bhusan College. He started his academic career from a village school, viz. Srikhanda High School, Srikhanda, Purba Bardhaman. He did his graduation with Hons. in English from Burdwan Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya in 1994 and completed his post-graduation in English from the University of Burdwan in 1996. He has completed his Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Degree from Katwa College under the University of Burdwan in 1997. He joined the post of an assistant teacher in English in 2001 at a high school at Ketugram, Burdwan under the recommendation of S.S.C., ER, W.B. He qualified UGC NET in English in 2000. He stayed there as a teacher till he joined Egra Sarada Shashi Bhusan College as a lecturer in English in 2003 under the recommendation of CSC, W.B. Dr. A. C. Biswas has bagged his Ph.D. degree in English on “V. S. Naipaul’s Responses to India in Evolution” from Vidyasagar University in 2014 and completed a minor research project sponsored by UGC entitled as “The Oedipal Tug of the Son towards his Motherland: A Diasporic Study of V. S. Naipaul”. He has been shouldering the responsibilities of IQAC Co-ordinator of the College since 2017. He is presently acting as a supervisor of Ph.D. programme at “Coastal Environmental Studies” Research Centre of Egra S. S. B. College affiliated to V.U. with two research scholars pursuing their research works in English. Dr. A. C. Biswas is well known among his academic fraternity as a disciplined, punctual and liberal fellow with sincere devotion to his duties.
