Post Graduate course of Department of Bengali was established in 2013. Initially the intake capacity in this department was 40. Gradually the university has now sanctioned 60. Three full time faculty are in this department and three state added college teachers assigned teaching duties.  Besides, various cultural events are celebrated by students and teachers throughout the year. by Hiring expert and eminent Professors of Universities From different parts of the state and country to enrich students. Every year students conduct a field survey on folklore and folk culture.  Students do project work on each specialization under supervision our Faculties. Seminars and Worksops are organized by this department every year.  Comparative Indian languages ​​and literatures, folklore, Rabindra Sahitya, Drama and medieval Bengali literature are given special lessons. The department is trying to preserve and restore old manuscripts in our departmental ‘Punthishala’. The department is arranging a certificate course on ‘proofreading and editing’. Students publish a wall magazine names ‘Ekushe’ every academic year.
