Dr. Dipak Kumar Tamili, a name synonymous with academic excellence and environmental stewardship, has graced the corridors of Egra SSB College as its Principal since 2001. His journey began with a deep fascination for the intricate world of Aphids, leading him to pursue his Ph.D. at the prestigious Calcutta University. His research delved into the remarkable diversity of these tiny creatures, paving the way for a career dedicated to the advancement of scientific knowledge.

Dr. Tamili's passion for learning extends beyond his own research. He has nurtured the academic pursuits of three scholars as their supervisor, patiently guiding them on their research paths. His commitment to education translates into his leadership as the Chairman of the Coastal Environmental Studies Research Center at Egra SSB College, affiliated with Vidyasagar University. Here, he spearheads initiatives that bridge the gap between academic study and environmental protection, fostering a sense of responsibility for the coastal ecosystem.
